Book a Consultation

01.

We begin the process by scheduling a consultation. This can be done either in person or over the phone. At the consultation we will discuss your plans for your wedding, including date, venue, other vendors already booked, color and design scheme and desired menu style. If you don’t have these details figured out, don’t worry! We can help you through the process.

Work Together to Create a Menu

Once we decide on the menu style, we will start discussing specific menu items. At the end of this consultation, we will have one or more menu builds that we use to put together an initial quote for your wedding.

Receive Proposal & Discuss Options

Within one week (often faster!) we will email you a full proposal. We are at-the-ready to work with you to adjust menu preferences based on your needs and budget.

Secure Date with $500 Deposit

When you are ready, you may secure your date with a non refundable $500 deposit. This ensures your have reserved your wedding date on our calendar. Please note we are unable to save your date without the deposit.
Not to worry, we can still make changes to your menu until 1 month before the event, and are able to make updates to your final guest count until 2 weeks before the event.

Don't forget your cake! There are many advantages to choosing a Mason Dixon wedding cake. Not only will all of your gluten-free guests be able to enjoy dessert, but you also receive a complimentary small anniversary cake one year after your wedding (no messy cake-top saving and freezing!) Already discussed your cake in your original consultation? Come on in for a wedding cake tasting to choose from our delicious options. 

Schedule Final Planning Call

Approximately one month prior to the wedding we will contact you to schedule a final planning call. This is when we will finalize all details, walk through the plan, and review any questions or updates you may have.

In your final planning call, we will finalize the menu, along with all others details, and review any other questions you have.

In order to be fully prepared for your event, we will need a final guest count two weeks before your wedding. 

Final Balance Ready for Payment 1 Week Before the Wedding

Once the guest count and menu are finalized in our call, we will send along the final invoice for payment no later than 1 week before the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

what is the average price per person?

The price per person varies greatly depending on menu selection, style of service, plateware selections, etc. We are happy to work with you to meet your specific budget needs; thank you for understanding during our high season we do have a minimum. Most buffet style weddings average $45-75+/person and plated meals generally begin at $65/person. This pricing includes full service staffing, and all items provided by Mason Dixon. 

How much is the deposit?

$500, which can be paid by cash, check, or credit card. The deposit is deducted from your total balance. The deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date if needed. 

When is final payment due?

One week prior to the event.

When is my final guest count due?

Two weeks prior to the event. Some special linen orders will need to be finalized earlier, and if this is the case, we will let you know.

What do you do with leftovers?

We prepare a second dinner for the bride and groom to take in their getaway car at the end of the evening, and then box the rest of the leftovers bulk-style for the family to take. We provide the boxes and everything needed for packing leftovers!

Are you licensed & insured?

Yes.

How far do you travel?

We travel up to 1 hour away from Huntsville. Further than that? Reach out to us, and depending on the weekend, we may be able to make an exception!

Are there any additional fees not included on the proposal?

The proposal is comprehensive of all charges, including staffing charges. We do not charge a mandatory gratuity and leave that to the discretion of the client.

What is the cancellation policy?

The deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a new date or service. 

How long do you stay?

We stay at a minimum until 30 minutes prior to the exit. Often times, we are there until the very end.

is there a chance to sample my wedding food prior to the wedding day?

Yes! One of the services that sets us apart is we offer an in-house micro-tasting of a few of your menu selections to help you get a sense of our food quality, flavor, and presentation. Tastings are offered Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Just let us know if you'd like one!

What allergens and dietary restrictions can you accommodate?

Everything! We are a dedicated gluten free facility and can accommodate all allergens and restrictions.
